After our successfully completed lipedema surgeries, there are cases where more fat volume needed to be removed than the skin and underlying connective tissue can accommodate. These residual soft tissue excesses can be removed surgically.

We restore your shape!

Despite modern techniques that combine liposuction and skin tightening, there may be more excess skin remaining after lipedema surgery than you would wish. As experienced lipedema surgeons and specialists in plastic and aesthetic surgery, we can already assess in advance whether this will be the case for you.

After lipedema surgery, significant excess skin can develop in the area of the arms, legs and abdomen, which can impair freedom of movement, cause mechanical irritation and create hygiene problems. These can be surgically corrected:

Arm lift (Brachioplasty)

Removal of excess skin on the upper arms after lipedema liposuction of the arms.

Thigh lift

Tightening of the inner and outer thighs after leg surgery.

Tummy tuck (Abdominoplasty)

Removal of excess abdominal skin for a harmonious body contour.

When is skin tightening necessary?

The best prerequisite for a firm result is thick, taut skin with strong connective tissue and sufficient collagen fibres. Whether your skin contracts well on its own after lipedema liposuction depends on several factors:

  • Genetics: With the appropriate predisposition, skin elasticity can decrease significantly.
  • Age: With increasing age, skin loses its ability to contract.
  • Previous over-stretching: Through pregnancies or massive weight loss, elasticity may already have been compromised.

As specialized lipedema surgeons and specialists in plastic and aesthetic surgery, tightening procedures of all kinds are our original craft. Please do not hesitate to contact us!
