When is lipedema surgery advisable?

The WAL Technique – Our preferred surgical method
In water-jet assisted liposuction (WAL), the fatty tissue is gently detached from the surrounding tissue using a fine jet of water and then suctioned off. Compared to other methods, WAL is particularly tissue-preserving, resulting in less swelling, bruising and faster recovery.
Depending on individual findings, we additionally use the latest techniques such as laser, plasma or ultrasound – for optimal results in fat removal and simultaneous skin tightening.

What does lipedema surgery cost?
The costs of surgical treatment can vary greatly, as each treatment is highly individual. Costs can range from approximately €3,500 to over €10,000 per operation – depending on the surgeon's qualifications, the extent of treatment, and the techniques used.
